Recap: Bowie vs. Irvin
The Bowie Bears can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They never let Irvin onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Bowie sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
They hit Irvin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Chelsea Hernandez (2),
Samantha Tarango,
Genesis Reyes, and
Zayra Moreno.
Bowie's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those three matchups. As for Irvin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1.
Bowie will stay at home for another game and welcome Harmony Science Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Bowie knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Harmony Science Academy likes a good challenge. As for Irvin, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Irvin's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
