Basketball Recap: Sanford-Fritch Comes Up Short

Sanford-Fritch has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gruver Greyhounds. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 8-4. As for Gruver, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Sanford-Fritch is taking a road trip to face off against West Texas at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gruver, they will be home for the holidays to greet Sunray at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Gruver is facing Sunray at the right time seeing as Sunray is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
