Basketball Game Preview: Crossroads Christian Colts vs. South Granville Vikings

Two dominant guards in Kobe Edgerton and KJ Terry are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Crossroads Christian Colts will be taking part in a tournament against the South Granville Vikings at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Crossroads Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.8 points per game this season.

Crossroads Christian is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since February 20th on Saturday. They came up short against Woodberry Forest, falling 69-44. The Colts have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Crossroads Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Edgerton, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds, and Sean Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Edgerton's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Smith, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, South Granville fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Cedar Valley on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the Aviators. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Crossroads Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for South Granville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
