Basketball Recap: Corinne Loomis Key Part of a Team Effort in Panthers Win

Riverton Parke's contest on Friday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against the Attica Red Ramblers as the Riverton Parke Panthers made off with a 47-26 win. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 47-24 victory the Red Ramblers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverton Parke to victory, but perhaps none more so than Corinne Loomis, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards. Those 14 rebounds gave Loomis a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Mathas, who went 5 for 10 en route to 14 points and four steals.

Riverton Parke's record now sits at 10-7. As for Attica, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Riverton Parke has already played their next game, a 61-34 loss against North Central on the 24th. Attica has also already played their next contest (against Milford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
