Softball Recap: Eureka Takes a Loss

Eureka's last matchup with Illinois Valley Central could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Hornets might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Grey Ghosts, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hornets have struggled against the Grey Ghosts recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Eureka's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Illinois Valley Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Eureka will be playing in front of their home fans against Henry-Senachwine at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Illinois Valley Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
