It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Madison had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Dirigo Cougars as they made off with a 53-30 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Abigail Luczynski and Aleiah Ward certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Luczynski posted 12 points and six boards, while Ward earned ten points and seven rebounds. That was a full 40% of Dirigo's points, marking the third time in a row Luczynski has put up more than a third of the team's points. Emily Woods was another key player, putting up four points and seven boards.

Madison has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points over those games. Dirigo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Hall-Dale will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Madison surely won't give up without a fight. Dirigo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
