Football Recap: Grand County Red Devils vs. North Sevier Wolves
Grand County had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the North Sevier Wolves, falling 48-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.
Suki Burriola threw for 65 yards on eight of 15 attempts. Beto Carroll was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards. On the ground, Cooper Swasey rushed for 36 yards.
North Sevier got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zander Christiansen out in front who rushed for 79 yards and one score on only seven carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 56 yards. Another player making a difference was Boston Bosshardt, who rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand County will take on Carbon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Sevier, they will square off against Kanab at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
