Baseball Recap: Sterling Heights Takes a Loss

Sterling Heights extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They lost 12-2 to the Clintondale Dragons. That's two games in a row now that the Stallions have lost by exactly ten runs.

Clintondale's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. They haven't had any issues with Sterling Heights recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

For Clintondale's part, the team relied heavily on Blake Grime, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Xavior Raker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sterling Heights will face off against New Haven at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clintondale, they will challenge Mott at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
