Football Game Preview: Lincoln County Panthers vs. Wayne Pioneers

The Lincoln County Panthers will square off against the Wayne Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Lincoln County and three for Wayne.

Lincoln County's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Brooke on Friday. They were dealt a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Bruins.

Meanwhile, Wayne came up short against Sherman on Friday, falling 40-20.

Lincoln County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wayne, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Things could have been worse for Lincoln County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 20-6 loss to Wayne when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Pioneers' Jayden Wayman, who rushed for 137 yards and two scores on only 14 carries.
