Softball Recap: Grand Prairie Gophers vs. South Grand Prairie Warriors
Grand Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the South Grand Prairie Warriors, falling 14-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gophers of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Lylly Sanchez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Benitez-Mendez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
