Lee County is 0-10 against Scotland since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Lee County Yellow Jackets are taking a road trip to challenge the Scotland Fighting Scots at 6:00 p.m. The last three games Lee County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Things were looking good for Lee County after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Richmond by a score of 11-10.

Kasie Roberts and Cherish Smith did some serious damage despite the final result: Roberts went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI, while Smith scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Scotland had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. That looming 17-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Fighting Scots yet this season.

Avery Stutts made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Scotland got a massive performance out of Addison Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Johnson has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ramsey Hale, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Scotland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pinecrest only posted an OBP of .000.

Scotland's record is now 7-1. As for Lee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
