Basketball Recap: Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Pineapple Cove Classical Academy played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 55-32 to the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers. The Patriots have struggled against the Hustlers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Pineapple Cove Classical Academy still got an impressive performance from Michael Barna, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Barna has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caudly Dieudonne, who posted four points.

Even though they lost, Pineapple Cove Classical Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Grady Bonenberger was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds for Melbourne Central Catholic. Bonenberger is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Karmani Williams was another key player, putting up ten points.

Pineapple Cove Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Melbourne Central Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.
