Two dominant backs in Zack Permann and Grayden Bruley are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rockland Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Mackay Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-24, which was the final score in Rockland's tilt against Carey on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Mackay played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against North Gem, falling 52-14. The Miners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-6.

Mackay's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Rockland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Rockland took their victory against Mackay in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 52-30 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Miners' Taysen Bruley, who rushed for 105 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 140 yards and one touchdown on only 11 passes.
