            Softball Recap: Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles vs. Westview Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            If Elkhart Christian Academy was riding high  fresh off their  10-0 takedown of Hamilton on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell  6-2 to the Westview Warriors on Monday. The Eagles have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

 Brianna Ehninger was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Ehninger wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Naomi Herbster, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That  home run was  Herbster's first of the season.
Elkhart Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Westview, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
 Coming up, Elkhart Christian Academy will welcome Triton  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Westview, they will take on Fairfield at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.1  runs per game this season.
