Soccer Recap: Martin Luther Takes a Loss

Martin Luther was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Shorewood Greyhounds. While losing is never fun, Martin Luther can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Shorewood are ranked 39th).

Martin Luther's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Shorewood, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2-4.

Coming up, Martin Luther is taking a road trip to take on Brown Deer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shorewood, they will welcome New Berlin West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shorewood will be up against New Berlin West's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.79 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
