Baseball Game Preview: Smithville Seminoles vs. Vardaman Rams

The Smithville Seminoles will venture away from home to take on the Vardaman Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Smithville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Smithville came up short against Vardaman on Tuesday, falling 13-1.

For Vardaman's part, Brady White made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. White has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Vardaman got a big performance out of Grant Parker, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Jack Tedder also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory got Vardaman back to even at 5-5. As for Smithville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
