Softball Recap: Lafayette Central Catholic Knights vs. Clinton Prairie Gophers

Lafayette Central Catholic had lost eight straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 1-14 to make it nine. They lost 17-4 to the Clinton Prairie Gophers. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gophers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Lafayette Central Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Auna Silver, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Coming up, Lafayette Central Catholic will take on Lebanon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton Prairie, they will square off against Clinton Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.86 runs per game on average), something the Gophers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
