Basketball Recap: Benavides Takes a Loss

Benavides lost against McMullen County back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Benavides Eagles were beaten by the McMullen County Cowboys 97-22.

Brandon Timms was his usual excellent self, putting up 30 points for McMullen County.

Benavides dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for McMullen County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Benavides didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-37 defeat against Lasara on the 21st. McMullen County has also already played their next game, an 80-18 victory against Pawnee on the 20th.
