Mid Valley dropped their record down to 15-4 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Riverside Vikings by a score of 3-2. The Spartans were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Vikings' pitcher proved too tough.

Mid Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Musewicz, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As for Riverside, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.8 runs.

On Riverside's side, the team relied heavily on Chris Graff, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.

Coming up, Mid Valley is taking a road trip to challenge Honesdale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverside, they have already played their next match, a 14-3 victory against Delaware Valley on the 8th.
