Baseball Game Preview: Eagle Rock Eagles vs. Bravo Knights

For the second straight game, Eagle Rock will face off against Bravo. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Knights at 2:15 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Eagle Rock didn't have quite enough to beat Bravo and fell 6-5.

For Bravo's part, Anthony Gonzalez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Gonzalez has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Bravo let Joshua Torres and Manny Antonio-Nicolas run wild. Torres got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI, while Antonio-Nicolas got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alfredo Orendian, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Bravo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win snapped Bravo's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-14 record. As for Eagle Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
