Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Quakers vs. Lincoln Cardinals

Franklin hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Franklin Quakers are taking a road trip to face off against the Lincoln Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 111-26, which was the final score in Franklin's tilt against Jefferson on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Quakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Democrats are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Lincoln was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 51-46 to Grant. The Cardinals have struggled against the Generals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Lincoln, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.

Franklin might still be hurting after the 56-34 defeat they got from Lincoln when the teams last played back in January. Can Franklin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
