After a string of three wins, Silver Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Jeffersonville Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Franz Basener paced Silver Creek's offense, picking up ten kills. Basener got some help from Napoleon Lankford and his 15 assists.

Jeffersonville can attribute much of their success to Malachi Crowder, who had ten digs. Crowder has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times he's played.

Silver Creek's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Jeffersonville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Silver Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Madison on the 12th. As for Jeffersonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Scottsburg on the 12th.
