Volleyball Recap: Sabetha Bluejays vs. Perry-Lecompton Kaws
Sabetha lost against Perry-Lecompton back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sabetha Bluejays took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Perry-Lecompton Kaws. The Bluejays haven't had much luck with the Kaws recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Sabetha was not held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-22.
Among those leading the charge was Taylor Trimble, who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2023.
Sabetha's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Perry-Lecompton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sabetha will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rossville at 7:00 p.m. on October 1st. As for Perry-Lecompton, they will head out to take on Hiawatha at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
