Soccer Game Preview: Peters Township vs. Canon-McMillan

The Peters Township Indians will challenge the Canon-McMillan Big Macs at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Peters Township is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Pennsylvania's top teams: Mt. Lebanon, who was ranked 18th at the time (Peters Township was ranked second). Neither the Indians nor the Blue Devils could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Peters Township's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Canon-McMillan ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against South Fayette, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Canon-McMillan sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Levi Good and Gavin Patterson scored both of Canon-McMillan's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Peters Township's draw gives them a new season record of 8-0-1. As for Canon-McMillan, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Peters Township skirted past Canon-McMillan 1-0 when the teams last played on September 9th. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Big Macs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
