Basketball Recap: Etowah Comes Up Short

Etowah suffered their biggest defeat since January 30, 2024 on Thursday. They were dealt a 54-21 loss at the hands of the Cherokee Warriors. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Eagles' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Etowah's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Cherokee, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Coming up, Etowah and Marietta will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Marietta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season. Cherokee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
