Volleyball Recap: Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades vs. Osmond Tigers

Chambers/Wheeler Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Osmond Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on September 13th.

Chambers/Wheeler Central took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-21, 15-7.

Rose Woeppel paced Chambers/Wheeler Central's offense, picking up 11 kills. Woeppel got some help from Ansley Waldo and her 29 assists. Woeppel was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Osmond can attribute much of their success to Ava Severson, who had 17 digs and eight assists. That's the most assists Severson has posted over her last four matches.

Chambers/Wheeler Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Osmond, they moved to 4-15 with that victory, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Coming up, Chambers/Wheeler Central will head out to take on Palmer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Osmond has already played their next contest (against Stuart), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
