Preview: First Baptist School Hurricanes vs. Stall Warriors

The First Baptist School Hurricanes will head out on the road to take on the Stall Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, First Baptist School beat Palmetto Christian Academy 9-4. The victory was just what First Baptist School needed coming off of a 21-0 loss in their prior game.

Stall can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past Palmetto Scholars Academy 13-2. Stall might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three contests by nine runs or more this season.

Lance Janicki was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also only allowed one walk). Janicki was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Lamar Patterson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Carter Ashley, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with a double.

First Baptist School now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Stall, their record now sits at 3-7.

First Baptist School took their win against Stall when the teams last played back in March of 2020 by a conclusive 11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for First Baptist School since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
