WPIAL AAAA Parkway Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Brock Cornell Earns League's Top Spot

Starting off the list is West Allegheny's Brock Cornell, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Cornell made eight total tackles and defended a pass. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (156) he has had since back in September of 2023. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because West Allegheny is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Cornell and West Allegheny will face off against Blackhawk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Cougars, probably because Cornell had a solid game then too: he made 16 total tackles. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
