Volleyball Recap: Green Valley Gators vs. Basic Wolves
On Tuesday, Green Valley faced Basic in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Green Valley Gators lost 3-0 to the Basic Wolves. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-16.
Mua Sagaiga paced Green Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Sagaiga got some help from Yasen Kolev and his six assists. Finally, Preston Whiting and Zechariah Nissley kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.
