Basketball Game Preview: Goose Creek Memorial Patriots vs. North Shore Mustangs

The Goose Creek Memorial Patriots will square off against the North Shore Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Goose Creek Memorial and six for North Shore.

Last Saturday, Goose Creek Memorial took a blow against King, falling 81-52. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Panthers are ranked 57th).

Meanwhile, North Shore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 45-41 to Kingwood.

Goose Creek Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for North Shore, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-15.

Goose Creek Memorial might still be hurting after the 61-38 loss they got from North Shore in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Goose Creek Memorial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
