Basketball Recap: Newell Comes Up Short

Newell and Takini squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Newell had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Takini Skyhawks 68-36. The Irrigators just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Newell's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Takini, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.

As of now, neither Newell nor Takini have any future games scheduled.
