Volleyball Game Preview: Sickles Gryphons vs. Robinson Knights + How To Watch

The Sickles Gryphons will venture away from home to take on the Robinson Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Sickles didn't have quite enough to beat Strawberry Crest and fell 3-2. While the Gryphons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Chargers 25-12 in the first set.

Sickles started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-27, 25-12, 25-23, 15-8.

Despite the defeat, Sickles got top-tier performance from Gabbi Colmenares-Salas, who had 22 digs and eight aces.

Meanwhile, Robinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Freedom, falling 3-0.

While Robinson was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 26-24, 25-15.

Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sickles, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Sickles beat Robinson 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Gryphons repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
