If McMichael was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rockingham County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Phoenix came up short against the Grimsley Whirlies on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Phoenix's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-16.

Eva Lockhart paced McMichael's offense, picking up ten kills. Lockhart got some help from Zoey Bradford and her 11 assists.
