Basketball Recap: East Dayton Christian vs. Calvary Christian Spartans
After flying high against Milford Christian last Monday, East Dayton Christian came back down to earth. East Dayton Christian was outmatched by the Spartans on the road and fell 66-26. East Dayton Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-8.
It was another big night for Abigail Reinhard, who dropped a triple-double on 31 points, ten assists, and ten steals for Calvary Christian. Reinhard is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Madhuri Cook, who scored 20 points along with five steals.
East Dayton Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Dayton Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Calvary Christian, they will face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
