Myers Park got themselves on the board against West Mecklenburg on Friday, but West Mecklenburg never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hawks 42-0. Considering the Mustangs have won five matchups by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Josh Falzarano Jr, who rushed for 67 yards and two TDs on only seven carries, and also caught one score. Another player making a difference was Ramir Watson, who threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

Myers Park didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kam Guy and Justin Westbrook. Another thorn in West Mecklenburg's side was Rodney Dunham, who picked up three sacks, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.

The win (which was Myers Park's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for West Mecklenburg, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Myers Park didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-6 loss against Hough on the 24th. As for West Mecklenburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-13 defeat against Hopewell on the 24th.
