Baseball Recap: Royal Oak Takes a Loss

Royal Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freeland Falcons.

Royal Oak saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Maeso, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Royal Oak's loss dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Freeland, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Royal Oak will square off against West Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freeland, they will head out to square off against Hemlock at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 2.9, the Huskies 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
