Hoover faced Hewitt-Trussville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Buccaneers put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 5-1 victory. Hoover might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by three goals or more this season.

The win was the sixth in a row for Hoover, bringing their record up to 18-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those six contests. As for Hewitt-Trussville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will venture away from home to face off against Oak Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Mountain will roll in looking for their 25th straight win, something Hoover surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they will head out on the road to take on Helena at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
