Lake posted their closest victory since May 10, 2024 on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eastwood Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Flyers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Lake's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Eastwood, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lake will face off against rival Fostoria at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eastwood is set to take on their familiar foe Oak Harbor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.8, the Rockets 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
