Volleyball Game Preview: Tinora Rams vs. Montpelier Locomotives

After both having extra time off, the Tinora Rams and the Montpelier Locomotives will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Tinora's favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home while Montpelier has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

On Thursday, Tinora got the win against Edgerton by a conclusive 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Montpelier came up short against Holgate on Thursday and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Montpelier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Tinora, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Tinora has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Montpelier struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
