Baseball Recap: Sunnyside Victorious

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sunnyside had no problem doing just that on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Yosemite Badgers 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since May 3, 2024.

Sunnyside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eyzec Parada, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Sunnyside moved to 10-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Yosemite, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.

Looking ahead, Sunnyside will face off against Shafter at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Generals will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Yosemite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
