Baseball Recap: Spring Creek Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Spring Creek was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against the Princeton Bulldogs, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 back in March.

Spring Creek saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Smith, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Spring Creek's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Princeton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spring Creek is set to challenge their familiar foe Wallace-Rose Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Princeton will take on rival Goldsboro at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
