Basketball Recap: Centerville Comes Up Short

Centerville entered their matchup against St. Ignatius on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Elks fell 63-58 to the Wildcats. The Elks were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in January of 2025.

Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for St. Ignatius, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centerville will challenge Northmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Ignatius, they will be playing at home against Lutheran East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
