Softball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

Bonanza hit Eldorado with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Firehawks lost 12-2 to the Bengals. The defeat continues a trend for the Firehawks in their meetings with the Bengals: they've now lost four in a row.

Eldorado saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Etsy Torres, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Bonanza, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-11 record.

Coming up, Eldorado will square off against Chaparral at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Firehawks are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. Bonanza does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
