Dothan waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Brantley Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by nine runs or more this season.

Jada Newman and Savanna Kendrick made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Newman pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Kendrick tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Newman has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Newman went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Kendrick went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases Newman has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jadyn Hutchins, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Brantlee McCarthy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Dothan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in eight consecutive matchups.

Dothan's victory bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Brantley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dothan will take on Enterprise at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolves 3, the Wildcats 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Brantley, they will square off against Red Level at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
