Football Preview: San Gorgonio Spartans vs. Redlands Terriers
The San Gorgonio Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Redlands Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, San Gorgonio humbled Ontario with a 43-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.
Meanwhile, Redlands beat Chaffey 27-14 on Saturday.
Theodore (Teddy) McGee had a dynamite game for Redlands, rushing for 161 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while also picking up 77 receiving yards and a touchdown. McGee really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Julien Scarbrough also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.
Redlands wouldn't let Chaffey keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Redlands can thank Hunter Whitton and Xavier Beck for forcing both of them. With that strong performance, Beck is now averaging an impressive 7 total tackles per game. Another thorn in Chaffey's side was Matt Steinmann, who made 16 total tackles.
San Gorgonio's record now sits at 2-0. As for Redlands, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
