The Grand Valley Cardinals''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coal Ridge. Grand Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Coal Ridge apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Grand Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Horner, who threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Mason Schoppner, who gained 71 total yards and a touchdown.
