Baseball Game Preview: Southside Christian Warriors vs. New Life Christian Academy Warriors

Southside Christian will head out on the road to square off against New Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Southside Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Wilson Christian Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 15-5. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Zeke Ragan put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. Ragan was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Southside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for New Life Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything went Southside Christian's way against New Life Christian Academy in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as Southside Christian made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southside Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
