Baseball Recap: Ottawa Hills Comes Up Short

Ottawa Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 37-1 to the Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-1 loss on Wednesday.

Ottawa Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juan Villa, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. Cooper Lindsey also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Ottawa Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ottawa Hills is set to square off against their familiar foe East Grand Rapids at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Christian will face off against rival Catholic Central at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
