Byron won the last time they faced Winnebago and things went their way on Saturday too. The Byron Tigers took down the Winnebago Indians 58-40. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Indians are ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Byron has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 27-2 record this season. As for Winnebago, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-13.

Looking ahead, Byron is taking a road trip to challenge Pecatonica at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pecatonica comes in on nine and Byron on five. As for Winnebago, they will welcome Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winnebago is facing Rosary at the right time seeing as Rosary is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
