Boyd County faced Boyle County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Lions put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 11-4 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Boyd County and bumps their season record up to 28-5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Boyle County, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-9.

As of now, neither Boyd County nor the Rebels have any future games scheduled.
